Actor K Shivaram, First Person To Clear UPSC Exam In Kannada, Dies

K Shivaram was brought to hospital because of blood pressure fluctuation and that he had suffered a cardiac arrest six days ago. Bengaluru: K Shivaram, a bureaucrat-turned-actor and the first person to clear the UPSC exam in Kannada , passed away at a private hospital here at the age of 70. He breathed his last on Thursday at a private hospital where he was undergoing treatment for multiple health issues for many days, sources close to him said. They said that he was brought to hospital because of blood pressure fluctuation and that he had suffered a cardiac arrest six days ago. Yesterday, he suffered another cardiac arrest which led to his death, they said. Shivaram, who also had a stint in politics, is survived by his wife and daughter.  An Inter-Ministerial Workshop on the ‘Responsible Business Conduct in India” was organised by the School of Business Environment, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) along with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Govt. of India, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Monday, in New Delhi. The objective of the workshop was to map the policies of different ministries aligned with responsible business, to share the progress made against the policies and schemes related to responsible business, to deliberate the need for collaborative action, and to seek inputs for documenting initiatives pertaining to responsible business leading towards  Viksit Bharat .
