26 states participate in workshop on State Mining Index 26 States Participate in the Workshop on State Mining Index Organized by Mines Ministry to Discuss and Finalize the Indicators of Performance Ministry of Mines , in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology-Indian School of Mines (IIT-ISM) , Dhanbad successfully organized a one-day workshop on State Mining Index, here today. The Index would serve as a tool for stakeholders of the mining sector to understand various aspects related to the Ease of Doing Mining Business within a State. The workshop was chaired by Secretary , Ministry of Mines , Shri V. L. Kantha Rao . Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to actively evaluate the course of action in response to the recent judgment issued by the esteemed High Court of Karnataka The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) accepts the ruling that was recently rendered by the prestigious Karnataka High Court. The ruling concerns the particular clauses for foreign workers found to be in conflict with Article 14 of the Constitution in Paragraph 83 of the Employees' Provident Fund Scheme, 1952, and Paragraph 43A of the Employees' Pension Scheme, 1995. In reaction to this ruling, the EPFO is currently considering its options. India now has agreements on social security with twenty-one nations. various agreements provide mutually beneficial social security coverage for workers from various countries.
